The "holistic development of a child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs in order to build a solid and broad foundation for lifelong learning and wellbeing" is the definition of early childhood care and education (ECCE) given by UNESCO. It is believed that the years between birth and age eight are crucial for laying the groundwork for future thought, behavior, and emotional health. Children acquire language, cognitive, social, emotional, and regulatory skills during these years that will predict how they will operate in many different areas in the future.
